Comic Viewer 3 was just released. It is a major update with significant performance improvements and some unique new features, that I hope make it the best comic reading experience on the iPad. If you’re enjoying it, please take a moment to update your review / rating on the App Store.

Besides being rewritten from the ground up for better performance and reliability, there are over 20 new features. Here are the highlights:

What’s New in Version 3

• Table view: Display all your comics in a scrollable list. Search and sort capabilities, enabled by metadata.
• Metadata: Add detailed information about your comics. Based on proposed Comic Metadata (CoMet) specification
• Page turns: Realistic page turning animations and sound
• Multi-page preview: View thumbnails of all the pages in a comic, or just those that are bookmarked
• Bookmarks: Bookmark individual pages
• Fullscreen mode: A single tap automatically scales each page to fill the screen width
  • Advancing to next page scrolls back to top
• Landscape reading: can display one or two pages
